Fire Extinguishing Devices

A fire extinguishing device is a pressurized device that serves to Decouple the connection between heat and oxygen thanks to the materials contained in it. These devices, which can be produced in very different sizes and specifications, are of great importance, especially in extinguishing fires at the formation stage. Fire extinguishing devices are produced in different types according to the characteristics of fires.

Types of Fire Extinguishing Devices:

Dry Chemical Dusty Fire Extinguishing Devices

It is also known as ABC dusty fire extinguisher. They are devices that can be used in type A, B and C fires, that is, in all fires except metal and electrical fires.

ABC dusty fire extinguishing devices have superior capacity in fire fighting. However, it is necessary to make sure that the entire connection with oxygen is cut off from the area used in order for the fire not to flare up again.

Foam Fire Extinguishing Devices:

Foam fire extinguishers are suitable for environments with class A (solid) and B (liquid) fire risks. Foams cover the surface of the burning substance, disconnect from oxygen, and at the same time have a cooling effect by reducing the combustion temperature. It can be easily cleaned without damaging the environment.

The foam penetrates into porous substances and cools the fire through the evaporation of the water component in the foam. Foam extinguishers that create a foam carpet on burning liquids such as gasoline are especially suitable for areas where fibers in upholstery fabrics and carpets can liquefy under the influence of heat, and flammable liquids. Despite the serious damage of electrical equipment due to liquids, foam extinguishers are suitable for use with electrical devices.

Carbon Dioxide Gas Fire Extinguishing Devices:

Carbon dioxide gas (CO2) fire extinguishers consist of pressurized carbon dioxide gas. When used, it provides extinguishing by reducing the amount of oxygen in the environment and breaking the combustion reaction.

Class B flammable liquids (petroleum, paraffin, paint, thinner...) and class C flammable gases (propane, butane, methane...) are suitable for fire types and will never damage electronic materials, as they do not contain dust or water.

Offices, areas where electricity risks are intense, are effective in responding to fires caused by the ignition of liquids such as oils and solvents.
