EXTERNAL PRESSURE COMPENSATOR

External pressure compensators are expansion elements that reduce the number of fixed points and sliding supports to avoid using too many compensators on long pipelines and increase the installation cost. They are used especially for the absorption of expansions and shrinkages occurring in subsoil applications.

There are 2 types of external pressure compensators, flanged and welded neck. The areas of use of external pressure compensators with welding neck and flanged external pressure compensators are different.

External pressure compensator, the axial type is the flange-connected type of the metal bellows compensator family. The connection type can be rotary flange or fixed flange. This compensator, whose bellows are stainless steel, inner – outer pipe carbon steel, is produced at pressure values of 64 bar and above with a pressure of 16 bar. Depending on the request, it is also possible to manufacture different materials.
There are areas of use such as hot and cold water systems, hot steam systems, compressed air. Applications where there is a possibility of torsion in the lines have a high preference in underground pipelines, hot oil systems and geothermal facilities.
